Description
The Long-legged Crow (Corvus pacificus) is a species of corvid found in some islands in Polynesia. They are larger than their closest relatives, the New Caledonian Crow and have much longer legs, being much more terrestrial. They eat insects, crustaceans, lizards and whatever else they can fit in their mouths and often use tools to reach grubs and worms. They roost in communal nests and are very social in comparison to most corvids, forming strong bonds with their groups. They occasionally form mobs where they attack and kill rails and other larger birds.
